About this course

Students in this course are engaged in independent study and learning via the review of textbooks and online resources. The objectives of this course are primary to learn what is expected of college freshmen or sophomore. The quizzes will be by multiple-choice and case study (short-answer essay) to gage your learning. 

Please navigate to the website of the College Board to learn more about the AP exam and courses.  This information will be used as a guide for this review course.

All weekly assignments are open for completion on Sunday by 12:00 pm and are due at 12 pm the following Sunday.

This course does not award certificates or diplomas but provides feedback on your knowledge and research skills.  Your performance is important.

Chapter 1 Introduction to the Scientific Method 1 Lesson

Week 1: The Scientific Method and Hypothesizing

The Scientific Method is the basis of investigational tools in science. Students will define science and get experience with identifying the steps of the scientific method and the hypothesis of sample journal articles.  Students will also learn basic statistics for data analysis. 

In this lesson, you will complete a quiz and case study over the scientific method and hypothesizing.

Cell and Molecular Biology 1 Lesson

Cell and Molecular Biololgy

This lecture will cover basic cell structure and function, including the function of the organelles, cell respiration, photosynthesis, mitosis, meiosis, and taxonomy.
